Mission, Commitment Statement and Goals

Mission:

The Shore Housing Resource Board (SHRB) is a non-profit organization that promotes compliance with the Fair Housing Laws and maximizes communication between the Housing Industry and the citizens in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties.

Commitment Statement:

      The Shore Housing Resource Board is committed to:

¨           Promoting compliance with Fair Housing Laws;

¨           Tenant education, responsibility and referral;

¨           Acting as an authority on Housing Issues;

¨           Facilitating open communication with all stakeholders - public and private;

¨           Encouraging development of affordable/workforce housing and;

¨           Influencing housing policy by encouraging the counties to support affordable/workforce housing opportunities.

Goal: 

SHRB will be governed by a self perpetuating Board of Directors who will provide guidance and direction, strategic planning, and financial and operational oversight in compliance with the organization’s mission, vision, and commitment statements.

Goal:

SHRB will achieve and maintain a result from fundraising, grants, gifts and other sources that equals at least 200% of the organizations annual operating budget.

Goal:

SHRB will increase awareness for its programs and services throughout the tri-county area as well as initiate new programs and services reflecting the needs of the communities it serves.
